The legendary SVD (Snajperskaja Vintovka Dragoenova Cyrillic:Снайперская винтовка Драгунова) is a Russian semi automatic sniper rifle. It was adopted in 1963 and manufactured by Izmash weapons factory. It has seen some modernization through the years but is still in use.
